Man, this sucks.

16g Black phone to Hanover, PA/

My phone shipped Friday 8-8, for delivery 8-11.

Didn't show up on Monday.

Called Fed-Ex, and they said it was running a little late and should be there today.

Left Jersey last night (hasn't even reached sorting facility, or gone out for delivery). ATT store says they get their truck at around 11am. So another day without my phone. Either someone jacked it off the truck or every delivery person on the route to me sucks. Fed-ex now has put a "Trace" on the package, and said the delivery charges can be refunded. I don't even think I payed the delivery fee's, which sucks even more because now I get nothing for their poor service.

I have a $300 phone lost in the mail.

One thing ive learned there arent angry iphone owners, just angry ppl waiting for there iphones LOL trust me I was one of them but once you get that little jewel in your hands you will forget everything that made you angry or upset with waiting I love my iphone.

That 0 to 1 stuff really doesnt mean anything i ordered my 16 gb white iphone, aug 6th and it said back order 1 the entire time even on saturday but after 12 noon saturday the satus was updated to shipped aug 8th.

I am glad I am not the only one with the backorder going back and forth from 0 to 1 to 0 and back to 1.

Ordered mine on aug 4th. 8 gig black.

I am glad our rep said no debit card. So I have a hold on my visa. Funny thing is our Apple store has been in stock for almost a week. If it wasn't for the business discount they would let me buy there. I just didn't want to deal with canceling discount and adding back.

I'm sick and tired of ATT's lousy planning for this phone, I've been trying to get an iphone fopr two days now and every single ATT store is telling me the same thing I have to order it and wait. Screw you ATT, every single apple store in California has these phones in stock. Why can't your stores stock these phones? I'm not going to play the order and wait game. When I pay for something I expect to get something in return not a piece of paper and an endless wait. But, no I can't get it from the Apple store because I'm an old ATT wireless cutomer that never upgraded to one of Cingular's new crappy rate plans. Even though I'm ready to lose a ton of minutes and pay more money just get an iphone, I still can't walk into the apple store and pick one up. Thanks the new ATT, raising the bar, more like lowering the bar of cutomer service. I've had it with ATT. I'm just going get an unlocked iphone and move to T-mobile.

YES!!! My 8GB iPhone shipped on Sunday, and when I checked FedEx's tracking system, it said it would be here tomorrow by 7:00 pm. But it's here today!!! I'm going to the store to pick it up right now. Thanks for all your help guys!

Not really no, If Safeway doesn't have what I need I'm sure another grocery store will. Airline tickets are e-tickets and you know the dates you travel on, you don't buy the ticket then the airline calls you two weeks later to let you know your travel dates. Driver's license is renewed by mail, and it arrives a month before the old one expires. Not into games so that one doesn't apply. It's not the same thing, there's no shortage of phones, Apple stores have ample stock, why I can't I purchase my phone from them? Why doesn't ATT have them in stock?

Because the manufacturer would like you to go to thier proprieatary retail stores where they can upsell you Apple Care and Mobile Me and keep the incremental revenue to themselves! AT&T is probably begrudgingly happy since they get new subscribers or existing one's re-upping for two years.

My phone was shipped today and I should receive it on Thursday. So, ordered on August 6th at 4:00 pm and it was shipped August 12th. If it actually shows up as estimated, it will have been a total wait time of 8 days. Not too bad I guess, although it felt like a lot longer.

I'm wondering what the wait time is now. I got mine on Aug 4th, one day before I was due to leave on a trip. I was a 23rd july for a 16g black. All I can say is it's worth the wait.
I was contemplating taking the laptop on the trip, but after a few hours with the iphone, I felt I didn't really need the laptop. I was able to check emails and pretty much every thing else with just the phone. Having wi-fi saved my butt big-time when I was in canada. Of course I couldn't SSH to my domain and muck with the pages, but at least I could do the rest.

There is a GOD, it finally shipped today! Phone will be here Thursday, im just gald I dont have to sit here and check my order anymore. I was getting really sick of it. As for the backorder 1 and 0 thing, I dont think it means a thing. I was on 0 all Sunday eve, and all monday. Then today I went back to 1. I was really upset, then I checked and I shipped out from Memphis at 2pm. So in my estimation, the backorder 1 and 0 means nothing. I ordered the 4th and shipped the 12th. Looks like with shipping 10 or 11 days, so I cant complain! Thanks for all your help guys, its been nice venting here!

Mine was 2 day shipping as well... Guessing here..since I see most iphones now shipping at a 2 day turnaround...it's now been a month since the launch date....ATT is no longer going to pay the extra $$ for next day shipment... I would guess the ones that are still shipping next day that the customer paid for overnight shipping.
