I am having difficulty adding my wife to my AT&T wireless account. Ultimately, I would like to add my wife to my wireless account then switch to a family plan. My wife currently has an account that is discounted through her employer. My account is discounted through my employer but I receive a better discount so we would like to move her account into mine. We were able to successfully start the "Wireless Transfer of Billing Responsibility". We logged into my wifes account and started the transfer however when I log into my account to accept the transfer, I receive a message stating that this account cannot be combined. I go to the link that confirms the transfer, enter my email address and my wife's phone number and select "'d like to transfer it to my existing account". When I click "next" and log in, I receive a message stating "This account is ineligible to add these numbers. Please Open a New Account" My goal is to add my wife to my account then switch to a family plan, not open a new seperate account. How can I accomplish this?
are the phone numbers from the same reqion - aka same area code for your location? They are required to be, you cannot combine different regions - aka a telephone number with a california area code with a one that has a New York area code
It might fail becasue you both have corporate discounts also. You best bet is to call support and talk to them or you can send a PM to
