I see that this works as you described, awesome find....Note the AT&T strips off the EXIF information when you send the picture in a message. You can't do email because you can't add an attachment to the message but an MMS works sans EXIF data. This is true no matter what the picture size...I tried 3MP all the way down to VGA resolution. This means no mobile picture blogging for AT&T users. (The SE site AT&T refers you to says you can do picture blogging but that is another bait and switch by AT&T)
BTW, both AT&T and SE support do not know how to get geotagging to work on the w760a....score one big one for Brian Z -W760 and a gooseegg for AT&T.
