LG Xenon Slider spring broken

Hey,

I have a LG Xenon that the spring for the slider mech has broken on.  From what I can see, the spring has become detached at some point and is loose between the sliding halves.  I have had the phone for less than a year.  I contacted AT&T and they sent me to LG (saying that they don't cover physical damage).  LG said I would have to send it to them (they gave me a return number) and they would make a determination if the phone would be replaced under warranty or if they would charge me for repair/replacement.  Is it worth it sending it to LG?  I don't want to pay for shipping, be without my phone for a couple of weeks only to find out it will cost me up to $100 to replace it when I could just get a new phone cheaper.

Thanks,

G

Hillsdale, honestly if I were you, I would just get a brand new phone. Like you said, it isn't worth the price and the time. Besides, (this is a 'what if") what if the employees at LG didn't correct the problem the RIGHT way, and it broke again? (That's just a "what if" question.) :smileywink:

I assume you're under contract with AT&T.  If you qualify, I would advise you to get a new phone.  Best Buy often has the Xenon for free with a new two-year contract.  Promlem with "replacements" by a manufacturer is that they generally are refurbushed items.
