Re: HTC One X Locked Bootloader

Is that really the AT&T answer? Don't renew my contract for another two years? Switch to a competitor?

Really?

It's an answer, but it seems like one that no reasonable company would like to give.

That is not an AT&T answer, it's an answer by another AT&T customer, based on years of experience with them. While wingrider and I don't always see eye to eye I completely agree with him here — it is very unlikely that AT&T will help you unlock the bootloader on the phone  since they went to such great lengths to prevent it from being unlocked.

So yes, if you're dead set on getting the One X, don't get the AT&T version. You can also watch this discussion and buy the phone when a solution is available.

Personally, I haven't used an AT&T branded phone since 2004 and can't be happier.
