Re: I phone 3G coverage

This will get better, although it may not happen as soon as you'd like. When AT&T rolled out 3G service, the transition was traumatic. Before that, when Cingular/BellSouth transitioned from analog/TDMA to GSM, that transition was traumatic. It may result in some heartburn in the interim, but eventually the networks stabilized.

We have had a similar issue in Chester, Texas.  Att kept telling us for months that

our service was bad because we were in a "spotty" area.  We had great service on

our edge phones before now.  Finally, one day, my HTE (4g) phone (Samsung Galaxy S II)

began getting 4g service.  The only drawback is that now our 3g phones are going in

between 3g (allegedly) and edge (allegedly). My husband spends most of his time in one

spot because he is afraid to move because he will lose service.  Most of the time my husband

picks up my neighbors wyfi because the signal is bad or none.  They are getting really

irritated.  You would think that when the area goes 4g that the 3g service would be stable.
