ATT has real issues with U-verse passwords and single sign-on between email services via att.net and account services via att.com. I have reached only one ATT technician who recognizes the problem and does not try to reset my password. He provided a work-around that is o.k. via a workstation. (actually logging in via yahoo to get to email, then click from yahoo to att.com lets me in) This is quite frustrating, and has been going on since we switched from Comcast a couple of months ago. As much as we enjoy our bundled services over Comcast, this is a highly frustrating issue and I wish I knew that ATT was definitely taking steps to resolve instead of the work-around.
