Bellsouth E-mail suspended

I am unable to log into my bellsouth e-mail address. I have tried the password recovery, unfortunately when I put my email as the User ID it says 


   Your account is inactive. You will not be able to reset the password with your account in this status.


I know I have been using it recently so it couldn't be from inactivity. I have also tried to send an e-mail to the address and the mailer-daemon returns


   550 [SUSPEND] Mailbox currently suspended - Please contact correspondent directly


I believe the account may have been compromised, the last few days I recieved fail delivery notices. Is there anyway I can get it unsuspended. I need to be able to change out linking accounts from that address.

     A few things to try. You can try the live chat feature by following the first link. They might be able to walk you through an email reinstatement process.
