ghostryder, wouldn't turing on Airplane mode prevent voice calls from coming in?  If not, and if your suggestion truly does stop all data traffic (except for Wi-Fi) then we're onto sometHing!!

Plz let me know abut the voice calls being stopped, or not, in Airplane mode.  Thanks.
