Wow...it's been over two years since the OP. That is complete bull. U-verse STILL isn't here. Heck, the DSL services aren't even here.
AT&T, you need to step up to the plate, and stir up some competition in Maryland's currently stale market for Voice, Internet, and Television services.
You would only have two competitors in the market for Maryland: Comcast Xfinity and Verizon FIOS. Comcast grossly overcharges and their services are completely over-rated. Their Television sucks, their internet speeds are pretty slow unless you pay a fourtune, and their Voice is sometimes finicky. Verizon on the otherhand charges an even larger amount for their bundles. In addition, they force you into a two year contract unlike AT&T.
I believe that Marylander's would greatly enjoy some more competition in this area. I believe AT&T would make a killing in Maryland, because their phone services would obviously be better than the aforementioned competition, they would have similar or better internet speeds than the aforementioned competition, and their Television services have a larger variety of premium channels than their aforementioned competition.
I hope someone at AT&T is reading this, because the faster they expand into Maryland, the faster they strike into a gold mine. Their budget conscious bundles in addition to their no contract services would be devoured here. By simply spreading straight into only Baltimore, not even concerned about the Northern and Southern counties, they would make a literal fourtune. Baltimore is one of the largest cities in the country, and would surely put U-Verse on the map where it should be.
I hope someone takes my post seriously, and actually works to spread the service to Maryland. Otherwise, you are just losing money to your competitors: Comcast and Verizon.
Peace
