Look at your settings and make sure iTunes is not blocked but I will advise not turning the firewall off in the RG.

I run both Mac,Win7 and Ubuntu 11.10 if its a firewall issue it will be the one in your computer try disabling it and see if you can download the update through iTunes then reenable if its smart enough depending on your AV it will remember next time to give it a hall pass so to speak

What AV program are you running along with what firewall oem or third party?
