I learn a lot from trial and error and my own experiences/experiments. Sometimes I will learn something from someone suggesting one thing, then I take it to another level and go a step further. We are moving to Wyoming, which is Qwest territory in June, but I will still try to be as active on here as I can. I will not be able to help in any new situations or with newer features, but I can surely help with basic things and more advanced things that I might have some knowledge in.
Koolkid is very knowledgeable about a lot of the issues on this site. I have seen people post that issues should be directed to KK. KK what do you do that you know so much about so many different issues? Not trying to be nosey but I must say it is impressive.
I will miss not being able to experience WHDVR and other 'announced yet pushed back' features in person, but I really can't do anything about it (unless AT&T wants to buy Qwest )
Some of you may have noticed that my activity has declined slightly on the boards, and that is just life in college taking over a little more (the semester ends in a month, it has gone by real fast IMO). I will sometimes read a thread, but will revisit it after a period of time if it hasn't been answered. I will say that it has been a pleasure working with some of the 'regulars' (you guys know who you are ).
For example the manual for the RG. Someone suggested to look up the FCC ID for something (I have already forgotten exactly what) and then I found the manual as well as a few other things.
Speaking of Wyoming, my mom just found this article regarding their fiber project (and a pool ): http://www.powelltribune.com/news1.htm. I don't know how long the link will be active though, I think they put their latest story on that link, but I don't think they archive the older ones. Any takers for a name? We will certainly be one of the first subscribers, probably second as city administrator Zane Logan has already said he will be first
I really like the idea of an open off topic thread, just a place to unwind and have a good chat without going off topic and making people angry (and yet...we still manage to do that too from time to time ).
