Uni - I was browsing through the NOAA Indianapolis website and clicked on "Forecast discussion."  Below is what I copied from it regarding the potential big snowstorm.  This was written on Monday - their system is slow to refresh.  Anyway - What that tells me is it is a good chance that it will happen but he / she (the forecaster) doesn't want to get burned if it doesn't happen or is not as severe as it sounds.

ARE SIMILAR SO TOOK A BLEND. THE 06Z GFS AND THE 00Z ECMWF SHOWED

A BIG STORM FOR NEXT WEEKEND...BUT AM NOT READY TO BELIEVE IT

QUITE YET GIVEN THE UNCERTAINTIES THAT FAR OUT.
