My last experience with our UPS driver was this:
Stayed home from work one afternoon to recieve shipment of my new desktop computer. Was sitting in the living room (about 20 feet from the front door, and about 10 feet from the doorbell box) from 2:15 PM (when I opened the front door and made sure there was no box or UPS truck or anything) until 2:45 when my daughter came down stairs and asked what was stuck to the front door's window glass.
"what" was the attempted delivery notice. You see, apparently I was not home. Funny, if he had knocked, I would heard him. If he had rung the doorbell, I would have heard him. (Tested it to be sure it worked I did.) I am suprised I didn't hear the truck. He must have taken his boots off and tiptoed up to the front door and lightly pressed the notice on the doorglass so that he wouldn't have to carry the 40 pound, somewhat-bulky box the 50 feet from the street to my house.
