Thanks.  That was actually one thing I was thinking about trying.  The problem I'm having with the logic in that is none of the Yamaha codes seem to work to energize the receiver and it has to be energized for the U-verse remote to learn.  It makes sense, but I'm not sure how to accomplish it.  Any ideas?
