Yeh. It is kinda quiet. Re your question. I'm under the impression, because of what I've read here, that Cat-5 is superior to coax. However, in our case, the house is only 4 years old. RG-6 coax was installed throughout the structure during construction. The installer decided to go with the coax and it seems to be doing the job just fine. We did have a couple of issues.....the microscopic sliver of metal in the coax connector for one....but everything seems to be perking along just fine for now. I check my stats occasionally. Over the past 35 days we have a huge number of correcte blocks but our uncorrected blocks are VERY low. I have no issues right now....with TV or broadband Internet. Just want MORE HD channels. But that's another subject.![]()
