Have tried to hook the STB up with both RYW rca cables and regular Coax cable and it worked fine. Just not as good of a picture as with the HDMI. Thats the frustrating thing...the HDMI, once it works, looks AWESOME! Im watching a hockey game now and it looks great! Even though it only 720p, it still is clear and colorful and sharp and just really good.

I have also tried both HDMI ports--this Vizio (the e320vl) has just the 2 hdmi ports--not any on the side...i am just letting it go through its thing when I start it up...takes about 10 mins, then its fine...

would the component cables look as good as the HDMI? I think about investing in them if i thought it would look as good as the HDMI..

Have been told by a friend who has friends that have worked for both Charter Cable and ATT its some setting in the STB that needs to be adjusted to up the data transfer rate...of course im not going to open my box up, but has anyone heard of/have any input on this? Would love to hear someone's opinion of this....
