No one here knows when Ph 3 will start rolling out.

You can currently pause recorded TV in one room and pick it up in another room.

Ph 3 will allow the non-DVR Set Top Box to pause (and trickplay) live TV.  I have not heard that it will allow you to pause live TV on one box - and pick up that live TV on another box at the paused point.   That would be pretty cool. 

When the rollout of phase 3 begins you won't have to ask about it.  People will be posting that they have it.  And then people will wonder why some have it and others don't.  Phase 3 will be rolled out region by region, but eventually we all will get it.

Look, don't be asking when a particular app  is going to be rolled out. We are not AT&T, we are AT&T CUSTOMERS. In other words, we know just as much as you know when Phase 3 or whatever is coming out. When it comes, it comes.

OP - Please do not scare me with a subject line such as "Phase 3!"  I got excited, thinking that it was actually rolled out for someone.

Do you know that for sure, Chris, or did you talk to to spd2demun's buddy, ZOLTAR? LOL

Now I don't know if this has anything to do with Phase 3 or what but, AT&T has been having a huge presence in my immediate neighborhood in the last few weeks. For a few days there, I counted 6 trucks on my street alone, two more on the next street and one around the corner between the streets. Plus, there's a company with a few trucks around that say AT&T contractor on them and they're stringing cable behind my house and across the street between those homes. I forget the name of the company but, they do both regular cable and fiber optic.

so, I don't know if it's for upcoming things being added or Phase 3 or what but, they've been awful busy. Maybe they're getting ready for going full fiber optic, who knows.

Well Tony w/ATT you never know 100% absolutely positively sure, but chatter on other forums and things ATT has put out leads to that time frame.  Summer is a few months and the timing seems about right and those emails from Zoltar, the swami's assistant help.

That's because they changed the scheduled roll-out to the 'end of the year' as I'm sure they were having problems getting some aspects of phase 3 to work properly.

They are probably replacing all the cable up on the polls in preparation for deploying uVerse to more users.  Probably realized that the cable bundles in your neighborhood are in bad need of being replaced.

I just wait for the posts with screen shots.  Inside info is great to have, but as Chris stated, they could be working out other issues with the software.  Why should phase 3 be different from any other app, update, or upgrade that ATT has/is planning.  Its software for the most part, and there are unforeseen problems that show up.

I'm not trying to rush anybody on P3, it will be nice when it does come. But since it seems that the time period between the launch  between P2 and P3 is longer than P1 and P2, you would think that it would be shorter.

Who knows what the delay is.  IIRC, the wait between P1 and P2 was approximately 9 months.  Had the wait between P2 and P3 been 9 months, we would have had P3 this past spring.

Maybe P3 includes more than we expect?
