I am receiving LOT8's as we speak at 10:58pm on Monday evening guys.

My camera is run down battery wise but trying to reach a buddy to borrow his though.

It must be something that they are doing as we speak.....

It had the same closest info that was broadcast on Comcast when I had them too....which is good news also.

Ok. So maybe they are currently installing the stuff right now and I guess it isn't actually supposed to be live yet. I hope it comes to other markets soon. I can't wait to see it for myself.

Nothing here at 2:28A, but possibly because they're showing one of their weather documentaries...been so long, but I think when TW did those, LOT8s was never on.

Why would they do this when they told us they WERE NOT going to?  Not that I'm complaining if it's true, LOL!

it just said "now your lot8's" but only the national stuff...

I know with Comcast, when those things where on, the "L-bar" appear on the 8s. The screen would shrink back a bit to form a space shaped like an L, and then they would give you the forecast there. That way the show doesn't get interrupted and you still get the forecast.

Aparently the L-bar is ony for Intellistars though. People with the headend feed has to wait for it to finish.

The STB that i was watching the olympics on currently just reset itself for no apparaent reason.  it won't let me acess the U-bar yet though...maybe an update?

I'm not getting the LOT8's any longer today at all. I guess they were really just trying to set-up the system for where we are located at and we should not have seen it at all.

I've never had LOT8's and don't really know what it is supposed to be like.  I tuned to TWC and they announced "And Now Your LOT8's" and they showed current and 3 day weather for several cities.  I had to wait for STL to come up.  Is this LOT8's?

Not true LOT8's Jim.

LOT8's give you specific info based on your cable provider and city. Temps, humidity readings, current radar etc and of course, warnings.

What you have there in that picture is what spd calls hotel weather. Just listing the bigger cities overall with no real specifics.

I just stopped to see if the LOT8's were back by any chance, and they sure are......

Looks just like it did when I had Comcast here.

It seems to be working better now than last night though.

Do you have a cell phone camera?  Might not be as clear, but would be a picture?

I'm in W. Houston.

I just spoke to my contact in San Antonio about this and this is his exact statement to me.

"We are testing the Intellistar computers in 4 different VRAD's at the moment and see how they work inside the cabinets. They can't do it by VHO since The Weather Channel has different reporting stations for different parts of town."

Hmmm....where's Koolkid, he's the expert on this stuff (and ex-Houstonian).  He's the one that told us about the VHOs and Intellistar to begin with.
