The postcard said (and I quote): 

 

Agreements for the following channels are due to expire on August 31, 2010: Hallmark Channel (Ch 176) and Hallmark Movie Channel (ch. 794 and 1794 in HD).  We are usually able to obtain renewals or extensions of such agreements, but we may be required to cease carriage of some or all of these channels on or after such date.

 

I don't say nuthin' about actually dropping those beloved channels.
