Re: Local on the 8s Petition

I'm sure I'll get some interesting replies with this, but doesn't everyone receive their local channels already? One of the frequent complaints that I read was about knowing when severe weather alerts were issued. Don't your local channels already have this? In my area, if the National Weather Service issues an alert than both the Weather Channel and local channels show it. Also, how many of us actually have U-verse without internet service bundled or no internet service at all? I would doubt that there is very many. Why then is it so hard to use the Weather Channel website? The Weather Channel never has the local on the 8's on the 8's anymore in my area anyways, mostly when they show all those horrible weather story shows in the evening. I have actually found it faster to just go to the website instead when this is the case or when it is ten minutes after the hour. (You guys seriously wait around until the next 8 minutes after the hour instead of going online?
) Out of all the technical difficulties that U-verse has, I find this a moot point. I think we would be better served to direct our energy to letting AT&T know that we want features like a second HD stream and WHDVR sooner than what they tell us is the rollout date. I'm sure they'll give you guys a weather radar eventually, but I would like to see a petition letting AT&T know that they need to stop pushing back giving us features that should have been available already. (Example: The U-bar is in all the promotional materials, but it has not even been released in all areas yet). Just my two cents. Hope I encouraged some thought and brought a different perspective to this issue.
