Help with Tier 2 Support, Ohio U-verse Customers!!!!
Okay, this is ridiculous, and I need feedback specifically from Ohio customers, but anyone can chime in.  I noticed this morning that I was missing my Showtime HD East feed, so I called tech support this afternoon.  Big mistake!!! Tier 1 was nice, but Tier 2 has to be from Mars.  They are trying to tell me that I should only be receiving West feeds, even though I am in Ohio and the Eastern Time Zone, so they cannot turn back on Showtime HD East.  What!?!?!  Anyone else encounter something so stupid?  How in the world does a region that receives local channels in EST result in receiving West Coast feeds.  Ohio people, what feeds are you receiving?  Pip, if you are out there today, what are you receiving because you are in my same market area?  I told Tier 2 that if they forced me to receive west feeds, they lost me as a customer.  I've heard tech support for AT&T is supposed to be good, but they are really failing me right now.  Help!!! I like the service but don't want to cancel. They'll leave me with no choice if they try to take away my EST feeds. Any suggestions?

Re: Help with Tier 2 Support, Ohio U-verse Customers!!!!
Whew! Corrected!  Tier 2 got my Showtime HD back, but it was like going through hoops just to get it.  Hopefully, next time, my tech support experience will go a lot better.  It's funny because they apologized for miscommunication on their part, which is a bit of an understatement considering the common sense of my geography and the fact that I explained the situation to them very clearly from my side of things.

Anyways, I still would like to know if anyone else is having these East/West feed issues, so I can know whether or not I am in for more difficulties down the road.  Also, I'd like to hear if anyone else has some humorous or aggravating tech support stories like mine where you just want to scream for them to stop acting like a robot.  Thanks for listening.

We used to get BOTH feeds from each Coast, then they removed the alternate feed based on your geographic location.

In the east, we still the west feeds for both SD and HD premium movie channels. (i.e. The Movie Package and HBO/Skinamax)

OK, I see that's true, but I thought with the letter they sent out last year, the fuss was they removed the alternate feeds.

Re: Help with Tier 2 Support, Ohio U-verse Customers!!!!
Sorry, was MIA yesterday due to some health issues. :smileysad:

Anyway, what I was doing was using the Guide yesterday and I still saw SHO and SHO-W (852 & 853), but to tell you the truth, I don't recall whether the SHO channels were there or not in HD.

Have you seen this thread over at UU?

Dealing with TS can be a hair-pulling experience at times for sure. :smileysad:

I am sure am glad it is back because I don't think I could have handled dealing with TS yesterday at all.

Spd, Ox is right. The east/west feeds deleted last year were just for general lower tier channels, like A&E etc. The premium channels should all still have both feeds. :smileywink:

Wow, well its like what was mentioned in an earlier thread for a totally different subject..  If you don't like the first answer you get, try again.  They have so many people in TS that not everybody will be at the same level as the others, so you're going to get different responses every time.  It's not especially good, but if you know what you're about then you'll be able to know right away if you're talking to a dunce.
