I finally chatted with a Tier II tech and he was the first to admit that AT&T was working on a solution. Really? I'm an engineer that has some experience in the tele-com industry and I don't recall ever having years to solve a problem.
He told me that the only know solution was to use the component audio until engineering solved the problem. I would love to spend some time with the guys working on this problem. I'll bet they are all PR and Marketing types. If they'd divert some of the millions allocated for advertising the problem could be solved in a few weeks.
I thanked the tech for his honesty and signed off.
