Exercise TV is majority-owned by Comcast. That could explain some things. ![]()
The Uverse VOD is pretty much useless for anything beyond the PPV new releases and premiums. I mean, come on ... ONE network in the "free TV" area in HD??? I was fooling around with my neighbor's Comcast VOD last week, and almost EVERY network under that category had the SD and HD version of every show, PLUS more entries under each network. Somehow I don't think Scripps is telling AT&T that they can't run the full VOD listing that they have available to Comcast or any other provider, but that's what it looks like is happening. (Check AT&T's VOD for Cooking Channel, and there is none; Comcast's has it, and about 8 different shows, both in SD and HD.)
Best advice for anyone coming to Uverse and expecting to use VOD like you did with your previous provider: Get ready to use your DVR for just about anything you'd be interested in seeing ... because you're not going to find it on VOD to check out.

UVerse's VOD select has steadily gotten better over the past two years. As contracts are renegotiated I'm sure VOD will be included in the contract. It's only recently that VOD became a hot commodity. When I left DirectTV two years ago, their VOD selection was far worse than UVerse.

What happened to Exercise TV. There were always lots of workouts to choose from now less than 10? This stinks!
In Dallas, I see 28 videos in the On Demand section for Exercise TV.

Exercise TV is only available On Demand. There is no channel to record programs using your DVR.

I see exercise programming. If you are not currently under contract with U-verse, you can cancel without penalty.

I have 22 Exercise T.V. programs in my VOD catalog people have to realize that the catalog will update once a week i do wish there more programs yes but i agree that U- Verse does get better and better each year Comcast has been in the VOD bussiness a lot longer than ATT has so of course they more prgrams .

This was one of those features of U-Verse that I've been bragging about trying to compensate for all the horrible stories everyone I know has about AT&T customer service. Imagine my surprise when I go in and only see 5 workouts as of yesterday! Whats the deal? There used to be PAGES of these. Will they be added back? Please - for once fix the one actual useful application on the service.
Thanks,
Brandy

I know this is going to irritate the Uverse Cheerleading Squad here, but it's looking like AT&T is the source of the problem here.
Take a look at TWC's listing for Exercise TV -- the orange (+) signs are ones you can watch online (TWC customers only). Scan down the Start and End Date columns. Even if Uverse's dates may be a week ahead of theirs, an awful lot is missing.
Just remember ... THIS is better than what it USED to be like. ![]()

In the meantime, you can always go to channel 1 (the On Demand channel), go to FREE SHOWS, then use the ALL SHOWS option and kindof search for workouts under A-C for ABS, CARDIO, BELLYDANCING; D-G has DANCE; H-K has KICKBOXING, etc.
Hope that helps!

Well, in Boca Raton, FL there are 7 videos and most are diabetes related. Before the end of October there were 4 or 5 PAGES of a wide variety of videos.
Not sure why the difference, but 28 videos appear here in Dallas. 21 of the 28 appear to be workout videos.

well i just found out about the issue with the exercise tv prgram. i was told by a chat that it's been discontinued. Which makes me mad because i use that every day and then i don't get any information about them make these changes. you think with the amount we pay we would be notified. not really happy with u-verse.

Don't believe everything that you are told in a chat.

How are you trying to get to the VOD for Exercise TV. I went to Free, By Network and looked up Exercise TV and there are 28 videos.
When I go to Free, Health and Fitness, Exercise TV I find the 7 shows as well. Not sure where the disconnect in that comes from. Rather strange.

I am getting really ticked too! 7 programs and 4 of them are diabetes related and not even workouts! I may cancel uverse too - unfortunately my package is bundled so not sure it's feasible. Does anyone have the number to call and complain? All I can get is technical support and I doubt they can help!

Try this:
MENU --> On Demand --> Free Shows --> By Network --> D-G --> Exercise TV

"Ren: Now listen, Cadet. I've got a job for you. See this button? Don't touch it! It's the History Eraser button, you fool!
Stimpy: So what'll happen?
Ren: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?"

All this talk about spread the wealth maybe the Gov could tell Comcast not be so greedy on VOD .

Thanks so much! Your solution worked, and I've found all my programs. But why in the world it it necessary to go through all the rigmarole? If there's a way to buy and save my favorites I'd be glad to pay for them. It doesn't look like recording is an option.
Thanks again for the info

The On Demand programming cannot be recorded.
Not sure why there is the navigation through the menu issue with Exercise TV. What videos you see depends on what menus you use to access that On Demand channel. Hopefully, U-verse will be correct that to eliminate the confusion.

On Demand - Exercise TV

Why are there essentially only 6 programs on Exercise TV this month - 4 of which are informational discussions and only
2 of which are exercise? There were about 80 last month! I have one TV in the basement dedicated to exercise use and will seriously consider canceling if this doesn't change soon.

From above, try MENU --> On Demand --> Free Shows --> By Network --> D-G --> Exercise TV
