and just to reiterate what i have said earlier, its not always that bad.  the artifacts are always there, but sometimes they are more noticable than others.  well lit slow moving images look fantastic.  lower light, faster movement and large portions of the screen having a slight color gradient look progressively worse.  for example, the shiny cars on HD theatre's auto show look nearly flawless, as did a lot of the olympics, but the parts of openning ceremony where the floor performers were twirling those light sticks really fast looked absolutely awful. all i saw were massive blocks of digitization.  as they slowed down, it got better.  disturbed water (waves, splashes, etc) looks horrible, but cardinal baseball games, when FSN shows them in HD look really good.
