I just spoke with a rep at time warner cable and he's had a dozen calls already with customers switching from dish and att.

Goodbye overpriced ATT, I can pay $100 less per month on TWC and get more channels.

How do you know how many calls someone has had? "A dozen calls already" could be some random number he thought of. He's a salesman, so it's obviously his job to pump up the number. He could have had zero in the past six hours, or he could have had 20 in the past hour...no one knows, other than him.

And keep in mind that "$100 less per month" will go up when those promotional offers expire. :smileyhappy:

Great insight, but for the next month that I have to wait for my electrition to install colax cable I'm going to keep egging AT&T on into getting the games they should be showing on their overpriced television.

BTW I spend over 230 dollars per month on the "Bundle" I have with AT&T and TWC quoted me at 120 for the same TV package but without long distance and with one 30 dollar discount that will last for 6 months.

No providers have the same TV packages.  There may be some similarities, but the packages are not the same.

That is what your TV provider should do when the system is installed.

They could but every cable person in the world likes to run cable alone the baseboard instead in in the wall.

Re: Schedule for Braves Games??????

I'm in Charlotte, NC - just moved within the city and switched to AT&T Uverse from TWC. However, FSS (on Uverse) is showing a poker game instead of the Braves/D-Backs game tonight. Time Warner is showing the game tonight - verified with a friend who has Time Warner - really regretting my decision to switch to AT&T (also, my wireless box cuts out on me all the time).

This has apparently been a problem for a few years and AT&T has never tried to resolve it. Kinda odd considering the braves are one of the most popular teams nationwide thanks to TBS broadcasting everygame for over a decade...it's shocking that U-verse is one of the main sponsors you see behind the plate durring broadcast.

Braves Games Not On

Here are answers I got (laughing):

1.  There is a technical problem with the Braves and we should be seeing them soon.

2.  The games are subject to an "outage".

3.  The Braves decide who is going to carry them.

I would just like a straight answer about carrying the games  on Uverse before I change carriers.

Re: Braves Games Not On

Need to keep this going and let the Uverse know how dissappointed we are with their lack of meeting the customer's needs.  I have only had slight issues with my Uverse service in the past two years, nothing I did not have with Comcast.  I prefer the whole house DVR system over Comcast's single box system.  There are a whole list of other things I prefer over my Comcast I previously had.  This lack of Brave coverage is coming close to a deal breaker.  I have been a Braves fan for most all of my life, growing up in the southeast, and I will not be missing as many games this year as I did last year.

Re: Braves Games Not On

I know this is not a channel request, but I went to the website for Channel Requests and requested that Uverse rebroadcast the Peachtree TV broadcast games over the FSS network.  Maybe if enough of us request it, they will reconsider their decision not to pay for the rights.

I am grasping at straws I know, but I am willing to try anything to get my Braves.  Who are on fire by the way!!

Go Braves!!!

OK...St Louis fans got their 18 games back.

What about the U-verse sponsored Braves games from Peachtree?

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO?

I've started to laugh every time I see the U verse signs and advertisements, I still can't believe they won't show any Friday Saturday games.

Funny, Peachtree TV blames dish for not negotiating the contract, wonder what they say about AT&T.

Re: Braves Games Not On
Now this is infuriating.... why the change with the cardinals but not for the braves?

I like how the responses to the complaints never address the issue that Uverse is a major braves sponsor but yet the only major carrier (I think) who is too cheap to pay the fee to FS.

I'm getting no MLB games tonight and tomorrow and I thought that was impossible when you throw 230 dollars per month. I stayed at my dad's house last weekend and his dish had 8 different games on including the braves game, sports is the only reason I have set top box cable. I hate you AT&T!

Why are you still a subscriber if you hate AT&T so much. You should be on the phone tomorrow or Monday morning signing up with a new service.

Each day you stay with AT&T will aggrevate you so much more.

Unless he has MLB Extra Innings, I doubt there were 8 games on that you could watch.  Out of market games on ALL providers are blocked by the leagues.  Extra Innings ($224/yr) allows subscribers to watch out of area games.  As for Braves games, click here and look at the broadcast, any games that are on Peach Tree that will not be shown on AT&T.

If I figured this correctly, if you do not have MLB Extra Innings, the most games that can be watched at the same time would be four games. There would have to be a Cubs or White Sox game on WGN, a game on ESPN or the MLB Network, and you would have to live in an area that has one of these two situations:  1) two teams in one city or metropolistan area  with one game on the RSN and one game on the RSN alternate or 2)  in an area that has overlapping RSN's so that you can see two teams at the same time.

As far as I know there would not be a situation where there is a game on ESPN or MLB Network at the same time. It has to be one or the other.

I am very upset that we do not get the Braves games.  We were promised them when we signed up for Uverse.  What's up?

Who promised the Braves games to you? Was it someone at an AT&T Store, someone in customer service at AT&T, or a door-to-door salesman who would promise you anything just to make a sale?

Are you even in an area where you should be receiving Braves games on your regional sports network? If you are out of that area, then it is because of Major League Baseball blackout rules that you are not receiving the games. It is not the fault of AT&T.

If you are in a Braves area, then you do get Braves games, just not the ones that are on Peachtree.

Re: Braves Games Not On

Dwinth, you pointed out a fault, it was 4 games with 8 teams playing. But even then you kinda missed my main point, I do not recive any baseball on friday and saturday while everyone else gets to watch multiple games. I can't believe they can charge extra for a "sports" package when they don't even show all of my market's games. If they would fix this in the next week I might have time to cancel and avoid this TWC installation I'll have to put up with.
