DVR Features

After a couple of hours of having our Uverse installed, we noticed quite a few differences between our old provider, Dish Network, and Uverse.  The most alarming one is the second TV receiver not having the capabilities of pausing and/or replaying Live TV. Is this something AT&T is going to improve upon in the near future.,.. hopefully soon!?! My husband and I simply love those features and to have it on one TV is very disappointing.

Re: DVR Features

This is not cable or satellite.  The DVR is not Tivo.  It's Uverse.  It has different features than those...and is missing some features that you might be used to.

That being said, no, you cannot pause live TV on the boxes other than the DVRs (Set Top Boxes).  The 'work around' is to hit the 'record' button on the program you are watching and then go to channel 9999 and watch it as a recording.  You will then be able to pause and rewind.

The ability to pause and rewind live shows on the STBs is part of Phase 3 which will be rolled out in the future.  ETA unknown.

Re: DVR Features

You should have been here when there were many many  many features that were not available.  No thdvr, no folders for recordings, no set recordings on non-dvr stbs.  It was almost like the stoneage:smileywink: j/k.  Uverse is a work in progress.  It has only been around for a few years so it does not have many features we took for granted when we had other service providers.  If you can hang in there you will see improvements like many of us have.

Welcome to Uverse
