When moving take your DVR!!
[ Edited ]

I just received an email today from AT&T saying people that move can take their DVR with them to their new location AND get a $100 reward card for signing up at their new address.  Didn't see anything mentioned about the other equipment such as the RG, or other STB's.  At least your DVR'ed shows will go with you.  Better than nothing I guess.

Fine print on bottom of email:

Keeping DVR content limited to moves within same Designated Marketing Area (DMA). $100 Promotion Card – $100 reward card for existing residential customers who transfer their AT&T U-verse TV U-family or higher and AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet Pro or higher services to another eligible U-verse service address. Card redemption required. Offer ends 7/14/12. Card sent 4-6 weeks after redemption to customers who retain qualifying service(s). Not redeemable for cash, for use at automated gasoline pumps or for cash withdrawal at ATMs. Card expires 90 days after issuance. For cardholder agreement/terms and conditions go to http://rewardcenter.att.com/myrewardcard/agreement.pdf. Cards are issued by U.S. Bank National Association, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. Offers may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice. Other conditions apply to all offers. AT&T employees or retirees may not be eligible for promotional offers.

I got that card, too.  Yep, they're clearly spelling out the policy for us now.  Gotta like that!

I wonder when they're going to tell the Level 1 support desk?

Re: When moving take your DVR!!

I would be curious to know if you can take all of your equipment with you when you move or if you only take the DVR and then have to have all new equipment such as the RG and additional STB's.  Seems to me if you can't take all equipment with you it would get quite confusing for the customer and AT&T to keep track of who has what and what was returned.

It would sure keep the billing section full of posts.:smileyvery-happy:

Re: When moving take your DVR!!

It could be that eventually when a sub moves from one home location to another where UV is available.  They may be able to take all of their equipment.  That could cut down on shipping costs, and eliminate a lot of paper work.  IMHO  But for the most part it would be very convenient for the UV subs.
